Dudes Day : Vol. 6

Today started off a little different then most. My wife was off work again so Dudes day included the other part of our little family. We started the day in Blue Eye, Mo. for those of you that have never heard of it the town is located right on the Missouri Arkansas border about 15 minutes from Branson. We had spent the weekend here visiting my dad and step mom or as my son calls them Grandma and Grandpa Lentz. You know, I never realized both how important Grandparent names are and how much the kids latch onto these. I remember when my son was born all of the grandparents were in deep thought about what Will was gonna call them. It’s funny though I had never really given it much thought. When I was a kid I had a grandma and a grandpa and that was it. My son on the other hand has a couple Grandmas, a pop, a papa, and a nana. What a lucky kid. It’s a four hour drive from front door to front door. The drive was pretty much uneventful my four year old has gotten used to long drives in the car and since we bought a minivan it has really made a 4 hour drive a breeze. The only other plans for the day was a family birthday Bowling party.

Bowling with the Fam

My wife’s family has an unusual amount of people born in March so we try to all get together around this time of year to celebrate. We picked a bowling alley because well because it sounded like fun. The bowling alleys now have ramps that the little ones set up at the top of the lane, the kids set the ball down and it just kind of rolls itself down the ramp. All you really have to do is point the ramp in the right direction. My son bowled a 98 my wife 93 and I bowled a 100. We are not a bowling family. I know this was not a very exciting Dudes Day, but as it turns out the next couple of days turned out to be very exciting. STAY TUNED.
